Best of Doom (Corey Morgan)
1. Scott is waiting for Rick at a park, when Robin Green drives up in a limo. She hasn't seen Rick, but invites Scott to wait for him in the limo. Scott gets in, and is beat up by two thugs who eventually become known as Doom.
2. Doom (with Woman, formerly known as Robin Green) v. The Steiner Brothers

5. Doom v. The Road Warriors (Starrcade 89)
6. Doom v. The Samoans (Starrcade 89)
7. Doom v. Steiner Brothers (The Steiners put the tag titles up against Doom's masks. Doom lost this match, but it turned out to be the best thing for them, as without their mask, they were 10 times better, and received a major push culminating in a 7 month title reign.)
8. Doom v. Steiner Brothers (Doom appears to win the Tag titles, But Paul Ellering comes out and convinces the ref to reverse the decision)
9. Rick Steiner v. Butch Reed (Ron Simmons runs in. Scott makes the save)
10. Doom v. Steiner Brothers (Double DQ setting up a rematch for the tag titles at Capital Combat)

19. Doom v. Barry Windham & Arn Anderson (Windham replaced Flair because Flair was to wrestle as the Black Scorpion against Sting in the main event of the card. ANOTHER GREAT MATCH! Halloween Havok 90)
20. Doom v. The Freebirds (Reed & Simmons lose the Tag Titles. Reed & Long then turn on Simmons signalling the end of a great team. Much like the Hollywood Blondes [Steve Austin & Brian Pillman] they were broken up too soon in my opinion)
21. Ron Simmons v. Butch Reed (Thunder"Doom" Cage Match. Teddy Long is suspended above the ring in a small cage)

15. Rockers v. Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson (FANTASTIC MATCH! 2/3 falls - SNME 11/25/89. Tully & Arn were finishing up in the WWF at this point, and did the job to the Rockers in one of their last matches together)
16. Rockers v. The Hart Foundation (Very Good match)
17. Rockers v. The Hart Foundation (GREAT MATCH! Demolition runs in - SNME 4/28/90)
18. Rockers v. Demolition (Good match - SNME 7/28/90)
19. Rockers v. The Orient Express (From Great Britian. Because Mr. Fuji insisted on interfering in the match, the Rockers went back to the locker room and returned with ANDRE THE GIANT!) NOTE - The Orient Express at this point was comprised of Pat Tanaka and the masked Kato. Kato under the mask was in fact, PAUL DIAMOND. You may remember them from match #5 as Badd Company, who feuded with the Rockers back in the AWA.
20. Rockers v. Orient Express (GREAT MATCH! - Royal Rumble 1991)
21. Rockers & The Big Boss Man v. The Nasty Boys and the Mountie (Jacques Rougeau)

24. Rockers v. Hart Foundation (GREAT MATCH! 3/31/91 Japan - The Rockers are in the beginnings of a slump here.)
25. Rockers v. George & Shunji Takano (12/12/91 Japan. The Rockers are showing signs of dissension here, as they lose another match.)
26. Rockers v. The Legion of Doom (DEFINITE dissension here, as the Rockers lose ANOTHER one due to mixed signals between them and nearly COME TO BLOWS!)
27. INTERVIEW - Brutus Beefcake's Barbershop segment. Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty address the problems that they've been having of late. They appear to come to terms and make up. The Rockers hug each other, and just when you think everything's back to normal, Shawn Michaels SUPERKICKS JANNETTY! He then puts his partner through a PLATE GLASS WINDOW! Michaels begins his heel turn with a vengance, and THE HEARTBREAK KID IS BORN! NOTE - In real life, Michaels and Jannetty really had been having problems working together, and as a result, requested to be broken up. Michaels vaulted to superstardom. Jannetty, more due to his own personal problems than to any lack of talent on his part eventually faded into obscurity. But not before engaging Michaels in a pretty good feud as we'll see in…
28. Shawn Michaels v. Marty Jannetty (FANTASTIC MATCH! The former Rockers square off in one of their first singles matches against each other - Royal Rumble 1993)
29. Shawn Michaels v. Marty Jannetty (Michaels challenges anyone from the crowd to a title match. Well some guy in a hood gets in the ring to challenge HBK, and he takes the hood off to reveal himself as MARTY JANNETTY, who pins his former partner for the Intercontinental Title! RAW 5/13/93)
30. Shawn Michaels v. Marty Jannetty (Cage Match)

Best of Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka (Corey Morgan)
1. v. Jeff Craney (Snuka's WWF Debut. He's a heel here, managed by Capt. Lou Albano)
2. v. Pedro Morales (IC title match. Ivan Putski is the guest referee)
3. v. Bob Backlund (MSG 5/82)
4. v. Bob Backlund (GREAT CAGE MATCH! This is the infamous match where Snuka misses the dive from
the top of the cage.
5. Buddy Roger's Corner - Snuka cements his new baby face turn by asking Rogers to be his manager.
6. Snuka v. Ray "The Crippler" Stevens (No match as Albano has Stevens piledrive Snuka several times on the
concrete floor. Snuka is a bloody mess! WWF TV)
7. v. Stevens (MSG)
8. v. Capt. Lou Albano (Albano gets destroyed here. Good Quality)
9. v. Tony Russo
10. Snuka, Rocky Johnson & Andre the Giant v. Lou Albano, Afa & Big John Studd (good quality)
11. Snuka & Andre the Giant v. The Samoans (MSG 2/83)
12. Confrontation - "The Magnificent" Don Muraco. Muraco is being interviewed by Buddy Rogers when Snuka
comes to the ring for his match. Muraco leaves the interview set and taunts Snuka from ringside. Snuka casually smiles, and then DIVES FROM THE CENTER OF THE RING OVER THE TOP ROPE ONTO MURACO! Snuka then proceeds to tear Muaco's suit right off of him. Muraco gets the upper hand though and bloodies Snuka at ringside. I remember watching this on TV. I marked out big time for this.
13. INT - Vince McMahon interviews Snuka about Don Muraco in an empty arena. SNUKA ABSOLUTELY LOSES IT! He starts Screaming unintelligably, and starts throwing chairs around. Before running off.
14.Rogers Corner - Don Muraco. Muraco explains how he's given Snuka back his "fire"
15. Promo - Jimmy Snuka. Hilariously un-intelligible promo! I defy ANYONE to tell me what the hell he said
here.
16.v. The Magnificent Muraco (Good Match. Denegrates into a brawl that takes half of the locker room to break up.)
17.Rogers Corner - Don Muraco. Muraco gives his opinion on the feud between himself and Snuka. Good
Commentary by the then Intercontinental Champion as they show clips of their first match.
17. v. Muraco (WITHOUT A DOUBT, ONE OF THE GREATEST CAGE MATCHES OF ALL TIME!
Snuka and Muraco are both beaten bloody here, as Muraco just barely escapes with his IC title intact. Unfortunately, he doesn't escape Snuka, who didn't miss the top-of-the-cage splash like he did with Backlund.
FANTASTIC! THIS IS WHAT A CAGE MATCH IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE!)
18. v. Muraco (Strap Match)
19. Piper's Pit - This was without question, the most famous interview segment in WWF history. Piper attempts to
ridicule Snuka, and when Snuka questions Piper's actions, Piper COMPLETELY DESTROYS SNUKA, hitting him
with coconuts, smashing bananas in his face an spitting on him. Snuka gets up and goes ABSOLUTELY BERSERK!
A must see for any Snuka or Piper fan!
20. v. Roddy Piper
21. Snuka & Andre the Giant v. Piper & Dr. D. David Shultz (Andre is beaten bloody by the heels)
22. Snuka v. Piper (No DQ match. Lou Thesz is the referee)
23. Piper reads a letter from Snuka's son asking him to stop beating up his daddy. ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! I
Remember watching this segment when it originally aired. I couldn't have hated anyone more than Piper at that point.
GREAT STUFF!
24. v. Piper (Strap match. Snuka actually PINS Piper!)
25. Pipers Pit - Tonga Kid. The Kid challenges Piper to do to him what he did to Snuka
26. Snuka & The Tonga Kid v. Piper & Orton (Good match)
27. Snuka, Mil Mascaras & Bob Backlund v. Hector Garza and the Eliminators (WAR, Japan 1995)

40. Brain Busters v. Demolition (Demolition regains the Tag Titles. Superstars 11/4/89)
NOTE: At this point there were some problems between the Brain Busters and the WWF, and both Tully & Arn decided to give
their notice.
41. Brain Busters v. The Rockers (In one of their final matches as a tag team EVER, the Busters return the favor for the Rockers in a
FANTASTIC 2/3 falls match! Very funny interview prior to the match, as Bobby Heenan and the Busters argue with each other.
SNME - Taped on 10/31, but aired on 11/25/89)
42. Tully Blanchard v. Ultimate Warrior (This wound up being Tully's last match in the WWF. You also get to hear Gorilla Monsoon antagonize
Bobby Heenan before the match, as Heenan is still upset with the Busters for losing the tag titles to Demolition. Survivor Series Showdown)
43. Arn Anderson, Andre The Giant, Haku & Bobby Heenan v. The Rockers, Jim Neidhart & The Ultimate Warrior (Tully Blanchard had intentionally
failed a drug test before this show, and was fired. As a result, Bobby Heenan had to put on the tights and wrestle in Tully's place. Very
funny match, as Heenan and Arn argue with each other for most of the match, and "The Brain" does everything he can to keep from
actually wrestling. Heenan winds up getting Arn pinned, and as Arn walks off for the last time, Heenan realizes that he's the only man left
in the ring
.
against the ULTIMATE WARRIOR
! The Warrior actually slips out of character and is actually SMILING as he watches
Heenan plead for Arn to come back. Survivor Series 1989)
Best of The Mega Powers (Corey Morgan)
In 1987, Hulk Hogan and Randy "Macho Man" Savage united and set the WWF on its ear. The meeting of
"The Madness" and "The Mania" became the cornerstone of the WWF from their union, through their break-up and
eventual title match at Wrestlemania 5. Here's a look at what was in my opinion, one of the last good angles of the
Hulk Hogan era.
1. Honky Tonk Man - vs - Randy " Macho Man " Savage (The MEGA POWERS are born as Savage is triple teamed
by HTM and the Hart Foundation. Elizabeth runs to the back and brings out HULK HOGAN who makes the
save. Savage & Hogan shake hands and the rest is history.- Saturday Night's Main Event 10/3/87)
2. Randy Savage v. Barry Horowitz
3. INT - Ted DiBiase & Andre the Giant (re: Andre's upcoming title shot against Hulk Hogan, and how Andre
will win the title for DiBiase)
4. INT - Hulk Hogan (re: same topic as #3)
5. Hulk Hogan - vs - Andre the Giant with Ted Dibiasi & Virgil (The Main Event 2/5/88 - The infamous identical
twin referee angle as Hogan loses the title to Andre despite lifting his shoulders at the 2 count. Andre then
immediately relenquishes the title to DiBiase.
BUT TED WON'T ENJOY IT LONG BECAUSE .)
6. Jack Tunney strips Ted DiBiase of the WWF Title. It turns out that although the title can change hands on a pinfall or submission, you can't just give it away. As a result, not only is DiBiase no longer the champion, but since Andre willfully gave up the title, he has no claim on it either. The belt will go up for grabs in a 16 man tournament at Wrestlemania 4. 7. Randy Savage v. Ted DiBiase. (GREAT MATCH! These two would go on to have numerous matches against Each other over the course of the next several months. Each one was great to watch. SNME 3/12/88) 8. Hulk Hogan v. Andre the Giant (Round 2 of the World Title tournament. - Wrestlemania 4) 9. Randy Savage v. Ted DiBiase (FINALS. Savage, with an assist from Hulk Hogan, wins the WWF Title!)
Interesting story here.
Ted DiBiase was originally scheduled to win the WWF Title here, while Savage was
supposed to have won the Intercontinental Title at the previous 3/12/88 Main Event special. However, HTM
refused to do the job and threatened to jump ship to the NWA with the IC title in hand. As a result, Vince
McMahon changed the script to allow HTM to keep the title, but when Savage heard about this, he promised
to SHOOT on HTM during the show which was to be broadcast LIVE! In order to avert a surefire disaster,
McMahon promised Savage the World Title at Wrestlemania 4, which was supposed to be won by DiBiase.
Good thing DiBiase didn't get upset huh?)
10. Randy Savage taunts Ted DiBiase with his newly won WWF Title. 11. Randy Savage v. Ted DiBiase (ANOTHER GREAT MATCH! - MSG) 12. Randy Savage v. Virgil 13. Randy Savage v. Ted DiBiase (Cage Match. As the match reaches it's climax with Savage, DiBiase and Virgil Fighting it out at the top of the cage,
SOME IDIOT FAN ACTUALLY CLIMBS THE CAGE AND ATTACKS VIRGIL!
)
14. Randy Savage v. Ted DiBiase 15. INT - Randy Savage. DiBiase & Andre the Giant beat the hell out of the Macho Man. (small tracking line at the Top of the screen during this interview.) 16. INT - Ted, Andre & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Savage as challenged Ted & Andre to a tag match at Summerslam, but hasn't revealed his partner yet. Jesse "The Body" Ventura is announced as the special guest referee. The heels aren't very worried about this. 17. INT - Randy Savage. The champ brings out none other than
HULK HOGAN
as his tag team partner. They Formally christen their union as the
MEGA POWERS
.
18. Ted DiBiase & Andre the Giant on the Brother Love show. Ted and Andre are now being called the
MEGA BUCKS
. 19. The Mega Powers on the Brother Love show. 20. Randy Savage v. Conquistador #1. (Hulk Hogan accompanies Savage to the ring) 21. Jesse "The Body' Ventura on whether or not he can be bought off by DiBiase. 22. THE MEGA POWERS vs. THE MEGA BUCKS (Summerslam 1988) 23. Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Hillbilly Jim, Koko B. Ware & Hercules v. Ted Dibiase, Big Bossman, Akeem, Haku & The Red Rooster (Survivor Series 1988 - During this match, Savage is forced to fight both the Twin Towers and Haku while Hogan is handcuffed to the railing. Elizabeth actually makes herself useful, and frees Hogan who steals Savage's thunder and wins the match by pinning Haku. During the celebration, Hogan is sucking up the spotlight by standing between Savage and Elizabeth. You can see that Savage isn't too happy about this, but he assures Jesse Ventura in a post match interview, that there's no problem. But that's not entirely true as you'll see in .) 24. Hulk Hogan [with Elizabeth] v. Akeem [with Slick & The Big Bossman] (The break-up of the Mega Powers looms near, as Hogan is double teamed for much of this match, but Savage, who is watching the match from the back repeatedly refuses to help his partner. Savage maintains that Hogan is not in trouble, and will be able to take
care of himself, and only finally aids Hogan when Elizabeth was in danger. Savage later maintains the integrity
of the Megapowers, but you just know that there is some serious dissension on Savage's side of the team.
- SNME 1/7/89)
25. The Mega Powers v. The Twin Towers (The dissention finally reaches the boiling point, as
THE MEGA
POWERS BREAK UP ONCE AND FOR ALL!
Hulk Hogan leaves Savage to fend for himself as he takes an
injured Elizabeth to the back for medical attention. The insanely jealous Savage then slaps the returning
Hulkster and leaves him in the ring. Hogan wins the match for his team, but is later attacked by the Macho
Man, who has totally completed his heel turn here. The Main Event 2/3/89)
Another interesting note here
, as Brutus Beefcake is the one who comes to Hogan's aid after Savage
destroys Hogan in the medical area. The announcers don't pay any attention to this, but it becomes more
significant later in the year, as Brutus would the summer teaming with Hogan against Savage and Tiny "Zeus"
Lister.
26. Several Promos by Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage on their differing views as to what caused the break up of the Mega Powers. 27. Hulk Hogan v. Bad News Brown (I always liked Bad News Brown. SNME 3/11/89) 28. INT - Elizabeth reveals whose corner she'll be in for Wrestlemania. Since she's managing both Savage and Hogan, this is something of a tough decision. Her answer doesn't please the Macho Man, who gets into a Confrontation with Hulk Hogan. 29. Randy Savage v. Hulk Hogan (The story of the Mega Powers concludes as Hulk Hogan regains the WWF title from the Macho Man. - Wrestlemania 5)
Best of Demolition (Corey Morgan)
TAPE #816 BEST OF DEMOLITION (VG - GOOD Q) 6hrs
![]()
Of the many teams that ripped off the Road Warriors gimmick (and there were quite a few), Demolition was by far the most Successful. Even though it was clear that their gimmick of face paint, leather, a power based offense, while never selling any of Their opponent's moves was blatantly ripped from the Legion of Doom, Demolition consisting of Axe, Smash and later, Crush still managed to develop a personality and an aura that made them a unique and formidable team.
1. Demolition v. The Islanders (Demolition's debut at Madison Square Garden. The Islanders [Haku & Tama] were baby faces at this time. I'm pretty sure that Smash was not yet played by Barry Darsow in this early match - 2/23/87) 2. Demolition v. Brady Boone & some other jobber (Demos maul their opponents after the match. Ken Patera & Billy Jack Haynes make the save.) 3. Demolition v. Strike Force (Ax and the now familiar Barry Darsow as Smash win their first of 3 WWF Tag Team Titles) 4. Demolition v. The British Bulldogs (Saturday Nights Main Event - 4/30/88) 5. Demolition v. Paul Roma & Jim Powers 6. Demolition & Mr. Fuji v. Strike Force & The Ultimate Warrior 7. Demolition attacks and "injures" Rick Martel sending him out of the WWF. 8. Demolition v. The Hart Foundation (Summerslam 88) 9. Demolition v. The Hart Foundation (SNME 10/29/88) 10. Demolition v. The Rockers (Very Good Match - Madison Square Garden 10/27/88) 11. Demolition, Brainbusters, Rougeau Brothers, Bolsheviks & The Conquistadors v. Powers of Pain, Hart Foundation, Rockers Young Stallions & The British Bulldogs (
FUJI SWITCHES ALLIANCES FROM DEMOLITION TO THE POWERS OF PAIN!
Very good match as Demolition and the Powers of Pain do a double face/heel switch. The vastly underrated [and deservedly so] conquistadors actually survive until the end of the match)
12. Demolition v. Powers of Pain (The 2 Road Warrior ripoffs face off just 2 days after the Survivor Series. MSG 11/26/88) 13. Demolition v. Powers of Pain (This one was better than the previous match. But not that much better. MSG 12/30/88) 14. Demolition v. The Brain Busters [Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson] (SNME 5/27/89) 15. Demolition v. The Twin Towers [Big Bossman & Akeem] (This one was better than you'd think it would be. MSG 7/10/89) 16. Demolition v. The Brain Busters (With the help of Andre the Giant, The Brain Busters win the WWF Tag Titles in a 2 our of 3 falls match. SNME 7/28/89) 17. Clips of Demolition regaining the titles from the Brainbusters 18. Demolition v. The Colossal Connection [Andre the Giant and Haku] (Demolition had just recently lost the tag titles to the Connection
and were attempting to regain them here. MSG 12/89)
19. Demolition v. The Collossal Connection (Ax and Smash win their third and final Tag title at Wrestlemania 6) 20. Demolition v. The Bolsheviks 21. The Rockers v. The Hart Foundation (ending. Demolition runs in and a 3 way brawl erupts. SNME 4/28/90) 22. Axe Smash &
CRUSH
[Bryan Adams]
v. Paul Diamond & Joe Champ (With Ax on the sidelines because of health problems,
Demolition debuts their
THIRD
member for the first time, signalling the beginning of their heel turn)
23. PROMOS by Demolition and the Hart Foundation 24. Demolition v. Jobbers followed by an interview with Gene Okerlund. 25. The Legion of Doom v. Jobbers (The LOD debut on WWF TV! Demolition cuts a promo during the match calling Hawk & Animal DEMOLITION IMPOSTERS!) 26. INTERVIEW - Brother Love interviews the Hart Foundation who complain about there being 3 members of Demolition. Ax, Smash & Crush come out, and the Harts challenge them to an impromptu match for the tag titles. Demolition accepts the Challenge, but attacks the Harts on the way to the ring, leading to a big brawl, and setting up their title match at Summerslam.) 27. Demolition v. The Rockers (Demolition wins with the ol' switcheroo. The Hart Foundation and LOD run in to protest. SNME 7/28/90) 28. Demolition v. Hart Foundation (With an assist by the Legion of Doom, The Harts finally regain the WWF Tag team titles in a 2/3 falls match. Summerslam 90) 29. Demolition v. LOD & The Ultimate Warrior (SNME 10/13/90) 30. Demolition v. Shunji & Shinichi Nakano (WWF/SWS Tokyo Dome show) 31. Demolition v. Koji Kitao & Genichiro Tenryu (The no longer fearsome Demolition is put out to pasture here as they basically get squashed. Wrestlemania 7. Smash would soon be totally repackaged as the rediculous Repoman while Crush would keep his name and go through a gimmic change to become a babyface. He would also for an extremely short period replace Hawk as one half of the Legion of Doom becoming the only wrestler to have wrestled as part of the Road Warriors AND Demolition. And considering that both teams pretty much folded after Crush joined them, I'd be wary of ever letting Bryan Adams become the third wheel on any future tag teams.
